‘I knew what they did not know, what I could never tell them.’ (Five Past Ten)
What was this secret? What effect does it have on Tommo?
Should he have told someone?
Tommo’s secret was about his father’s death. One day when his father was cutting down a tree,it started to fall to ground.James (Tommos dad) shouted across to run but Tommo froze. His father rushed over and pushed him out of the way but unfortunately the tree fell on him instead.
It made Tommo feel guilty and unhappy and depressed.
I think Tommo should of told some one because he thought it was his fault that his dad died but if he had told someone they can reassure him hes not the one to blame.
I think that he should have said to a member of his family because first of all it would make him feel better and it would not be going around and around his head for a few weeks and his family im sure would back him up and if he would have ran his dad might be alive to this day.
I think that Tommo should have told someone because it would have made him feel a lot better and also would have taken a lot of weight off his shoulders .He should have told them also because it would not be going around and around in his head all the time and if he have run the time his father told him too his father would be alive to this day.
I Think Tommo should have told one of his family members
because it might make him feel better and it might take the weight off
his shoulders. Also if he rang his father might be still alive to this day…..
Perhaps he would feel less guilty if he had told his famly – however I think some of the guilt would still have remained, as ultimately his father died trying to save him
I think Tommo should tell one of his family members about
the seceret he has,the seceret of his father’s death. It would make him feel better
and would also lift the weight off his shoulders. Also if he ran his Dad may still be alive to this day.
I think that if Tommo told one of his family about what happened that morning he would not feel as guilty but i also think that he will always have that small bit of guilt for his dad died saving him.
Tommo should of definitely told someone about his secret it would’ve made him feel much better ………yet i can understand why he’s so worried because his father did die trying to save him so i know why he’d feel guilty.
If Tommo had told somebody at the start or at anytime i would be certain his family would reassure him or in anyway make him feel less guilty ,i doubt he would forget all about it,but it might get it off his mind a bit,I can see what he is going through but again if he did tell someone even charlie would do it might make him get on better in school as it is his first day….
If Tommo told someone close or a friend about his secret he would be less jealous and they might help him to overcome the jealousy and help him cope with it. I know how he feels losing his dad but it feels worse when he died trying to save Tommo.
Tommo should have told someone because what happened was not his fault and he should not have felt guilty over it.
I think Thommo should of told one of family members or a close friend to make him feel better so that he’s not holding the secret in that much anymore.
Thommo should of told someone he trusted like a close friend or a family member or esle he would feel guilty all his life but he should not tell someone he is not too close to or they might think he is some sort of monster.
I think Tommo should have told his family because it wasn’t his fault his father died he was only trying to save him.
Tommo should tell his older brother or his mother about his father death so that Tommo wont feel so guilty
i think tommo should have told 1 of his family members because it was his fault.🙂
