I think that the authors descripion perfectly portrayed Tommo’s fear and dread of starting school.The author gave great detail in how Tommo was feeling at that paticular moment.

I have just finished the book and i think it is an excellent book and i was imagining every chapter in my head. I am deffenatly going to read more of Michael Morpugo’s books and i really want to read his new book ‘War Horse’ since a saw the movie and ‘born to run’. I would highly reccomend the book to anyone and rate it at five out of five.
I didn’t realise that he also wrote War Horse. Have finished the book- very good. surprising ending!!
I think Sergeant Stanley will reappear somewhere! Not a nice character.
